Who are we?
We may be ‘All About The Dogs’, but we love all animals, no matter the age, size, breed or species! We just originally started with dogs.
All About The Dogs originated as a dog walking and sitting business in Manchester whilst the founder Charlotte and her partner Sean were attending university, which quickly grew over the 3 years we were operating in the area. All About The Dogs closed in Manchester whilst Charlotte was conducting her research masters in Malawi, Africa. Following her Masters, Charlotte then went on to become a dog training coach at Dogs Trust Dog School. This allowed her to expand her knowledge and grow as a trainer.
All About The Dogs then reopened the dog walking services in Stafford in 2023, which has had an overwhelming amount of support and a wonderful sense of community has been created. We then started our training services by helping current customers with 1:1 training sessions, but have now opened our training services to the general public with 1:1 training sessions, online training, group basic training courses and progression classes.
Unfortunately you do not have to be qualified to be a dog trainer in the UK, however we strongly believe you should be. Therefore our trainer is qualified and experienced as well as being a member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Training).
All About The Dog’s offer positive reinforcement training only (you can read more about this on our homepage). Our ethos is for owners and their dogs to learn and grow together, whilst building a relationship and a bond that will last a life-time. Real training is built on trust and should be a fun and enjoyable experience for all. Not one method suits all, therefore we assess each individual dog and use training methods to suit both dog and owner to ensure the most success. All our methods are the most updated methods and backed by scientific research.
Meet the team
HI, I’M CHARLOTTE.
I’m the founder of All About The Dogs and I absolutely adore all animals. Growing up with dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters and horse riding, I have a genuine passion for all animals and building relationships between pets and owners.
I am an experienced dog trainer and walker with an array of practical and theoretical knowledge. I have worked as a dog training coach for Dogs Trust Dog School leading basic training group classes for all types of dogs from puppies, adolescents, adults and rescues, as well as offering advice and support for owners with more complex dog behaviour needs. I have experience managing a boarding kennels, as well as volunteering in the Dogs Trust rehoming centres. Through these experiences I have gained a lot of knowledge and understanding of all kinds of different dogs.
I own a beautiful male German Shepherd rescue, Hudson (see the picture). Hudson was a foster fail (I mean look at him), but he also came with a lot of complex behaviour and medical needs. Hudson has taught me many valuable lessons as a dog trainer and has really sparked a passion for the challenges of dog behaviour.
I have a first class degree in Wildlife Conservation and Zoo Biology, which was heavily focused on animal cognition, including dog behaviour. I have also attained a distinction Masters of Science by Research degree and I am a member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Training).
HI, I’M Kay,
The newest member of the team and life long lover of dogs. I'm from a family of animal lovers so grew up around all sorts. Some of my more bizzare childhood pets included rats, ferrets and geckos! As a teen I owned horses and spent a lot of time helping out with farm animals too, especially during my agriculture studies at Rodbaston College. Since then I've been working in the forestry and outdoor recreation sector, with lots of pet/house sitting and dog walking on the side, and training in agility with my own dog. For a couple of years I travelled the country, living in my camper van with my dog, Oscar, the best travel companion I could wish for. Now we've settled down with my partner and his Staffy, DeeDee. I'm a big believer that a house is not a home without a dog. The relationship between family and dog is so special, so I'm honoured to be part of your pets life and can't wait for more fun walks!

Dave is the founder of Just Dave Photography as is the man behind most of our gorgeous pictures and videos you will see on our website and across our social media platforms. Our dogs absolutely love him when he comes to work with us and you may see him around in our classes or future events!
